Yesterday I attended Edward Tufte’s San Diego presentation. It rocked. Anyone who creates interfaces or does presentations, this is a must see.
At 380 dollars bucks the price is a bit high – although the event, for the most, was sold out. For that 380 dollars I expected a little more out of the presentation. The second half (after lunch) is more casual. Some of the morning material is repeated, which is not a bad thing. A complete collection of Edward Tufte’s work is handed to you at the door. Anyone familiar with Tufte’s work knows he’s not a lover of PowerPoint. He stays true to this. His presentation is a combination of high resolution images and references and diagrams from his books.
